The electorate has spoken, and Joey can't keep his puppets in office anymore.

MacKay is not for positive change. He is another Preston Puppet. He is Preston's last hope to save his job, if he can't sway Dunn or Allen into his corner.

Re: Republican Party Censure!

June 17, 2008 by freddie

All of you that are whining cuz Preston's Boy, MacKay, got censured are hypocrites. You all were dancing with joy when Cindy Wilson got censured by the council. You can dish it out, but you can't take it.

Re: Desperate in District #1

June 17, 2008 by freddie

The status quo that needed changing was Greer, Thompson and McAbee. Putting MacKay on council would not be change, but a continuation of Greer-Thompson-McAbee.

Re: Desperate in District #1

June 17, 2008 by freddie

We had change in Districts 3, 4 and 5. We don't need change in District 1.

Re: Desperate in District #1

June 17, 2008 by freddie

Sounds more like Preston and his Pawns are desparate. They just got whacked in Districts 3, 4, and 5. The only things that have been progressive in Anderson County have been Preston's salary, credit card use, and his minions salaries. These things have just progressed upward.

Miss Sarah must not have had enough bon bons?

Re: Raymond MacKay is a Democrat? ? ? ?

June 16, 2008 by freddie

There are a number who spoke on the 10th of June replacing three of Preston's puppets. Districts 3, 4, and 5. These are facts. Also, Chrissy Adams and her bon bons beat Miss Sarah. Your back is against the wall now. Are you going to lose your credit card? How many of these inflated salaries are going to be cut in half come January? Preston and the rest his pawns who are on the county dole now place all their hopes on the great white dope.

Re: Raymond MacKay is a Democrat? ? ? ?

June 15, 2008 by freddie

Mr. Waldrep is a lot older than MacKay. Democrats were Democrats back then. MacKay will cause more problems than you ever dreamed if elected. You need to go back and read Brooks Brown's quote in the newspaper after the primary. You are correct, "Facts are stubborn things." How deep are you into the Preston dole?

Re: Raymond MacKay is a Democrat? ? ? ?

June 15, 2008 by freddie

MacKay doesn't belong to either party. MacKay is in the MacKay party.

Re: Raymond MacKay is a Democrat? ? ? ?

You need to talk to some of the police officers who were working with the Anderson Police Department when MacKay was a city judge then if you want to know The Real Raymond MacKay. MacKay didn't last long there. Talk to George Ducworth too. I heard that your hubby has a job waiting for him at the Economic Development Department. Most of the people who support MacKay rely on Preston for some sort of goodie.

Re: Raymond MacKay is a Democrat? ? ? ?

June 15, 2008 by freddie

You should talk to George Ducworth if you want to know what MacKay is really like. You obviously don't know MacKay or you wouldn't be saying what you are saying.

Re: Ron Wilson for Chairman

June 12, 2008 by freddie

Why do all County Council members have to be against someone or something? Why can't we all just think in terms of what is best for Anderson County?

- Petunia

Peston's departure would be in the best interests of the County.

Re: Ron Wilson for Chairman

June 12, 2008 by freddie

I know some folks in another thread are joking about Cindy Wilson becoming chairwoman. I don't think that would happen.

However, I do think the OTHER Wilson would make an excellent Chairman during this time.

Regardless of the runoff results, the council is going to be very divided. Ron Wilson has frequently been critical of the Administrator, but also has defended Joey when he knew he was right.

Ron Wilson would be in a unique position to limit the strife on Council because he's got his foot in the door with both factions.

Ron also knows the rules of order and has a commanding presence-- He doesn't bumble around like Waldrep did and he won't say outrageous things like Thompson did.

Depending on the runoffs, he might end up being the compromise candidate for Chairman.

- ahammett

Joey's got to win both of the runoffs to keep his job. Can Joey fight on two fronts successfully? Napolean (RW) got in a tight race with one who should have been an also ran and almost met his Waterloo. Napolean may change his tune now if he hopes to get re-elected next time much less get elected chairman.

Unsuccessful Wannabe (Skipper’s Days as Investigations Captain)

blah blah blah blah, I'm an anonymous coward, blah blah blah

• Should you change your slogan to read “Ineffective, unsuccessful Wannabe?”

- uscgang

What would an anonymous little sh*t on the blog know about accountability? You won't even accept responsibility for your words by putting your name on it.

Furthermore, you registered your account just to attack Skipper during this primary. You either work in the Sheriff's office or you're working on the campaign of David Crenshaw.

You should ask that last question in your post to yourself.

- Ernest Penfold

Why don't you put your face and name to your posts? Or is the pot calling the kettle black?

McCain, even in defeat, could ironically be like Goldwater, paving the way for the next real conservative President.

Kind of like Herbert Hoover?
