Great videos Nicole. Thanks for the post.

I enjoy time on the lake, boating and fishing. I enjoy scuba diving, as well as all watersports. I love to travel and see new places. I enjoy music and consider myself "tropical" at heart. I enjoy working in the yard and working with plants, mostly palms and other tropical types.
Most of all, through pure luck on my part, and sacrifice on my forefathers part, I believe I was born in the greatest country on the planet. I hope the same for my future generations, and it's my duty to do all I can to assure this.

Re: Is Rick Driver Morning show on WAIM-AM 1230 a comedy show????

I gotta say, I never understood why someone would complain so much about something that is voluntary. I, nor anyone else, has to come here. If someone has to have a forum to have a meaningful life, then they should start their own. I just wonder how a forum would last if run by someone so "anti-different opinions". It would be a matter of days before everyone was banned. I could not imagine watching a TV show each day that I hated. I'd either turn the channel, or turn the TV off. However in this case one could create their own show. Of course for some it would soon be nothing but looking in a mirror, as they would be the only one in the show. For others it would be trying to sneak and watch a show they hate, then complaining about what they saw.
I also don't understand how some get so torn outta the frame over post here. I mean some post chap my hide, but I'd NEVER consider trying to find out who they are, where they live, or worse yet, try to actually physically harm them. Now I will admit, I've posted some childish post on these forums. However some do it daily. Your a so and so. I know you are, but what am I. It reminds me of children on the playground. And some NEVER let things go. They will still be p-oed over something said months, or years ago. It's not like anyone here has taken anything from me, caused me harm, or cost me anything. If one can't get over something said (often in jest), how do they ever get over things in the real world? Again, some folks on here I could never see me hanging out with, however I don't think there is one (well, not more than a couple) that I would not stop and help if I saw them on the side of the road. Even the few I wouldn't, it's only because I'm sure they would refuse the help, or start fussing about something posted long ago.
Come on people, this is a forum to discuss things. We have some pretty sharp folks on here. Some have a great deal of knowledge on certain things, and others have some knowledge of many things. I'm sure there is some good in everyone here. Of course you may have to search harder to find it in some. I'm also sure I, and everyone here, can find something they agree with with every member here. Even if it's only who won the Pepsi challenge. However we all seem to carry a chip on our shoulders because so and so said this about me in the past. You know, even an apology would not calm the rage for some. Let's get real, how many here have been wronged by another member in a way a simple apology should not atone for? With all the things going on in the world, are our disputes here worth all the grief they seem to cause?
Now I know I have contributed to said turmoil. And I may slip up and contribute to it in the future. However, I will now apologize to anyone I have offended, (Wyatt specifically) and hope whatever transgressions anyone feels I have bestowed on them can let them go and try to find some common ground to carry on a decent conversation, discussion, or debate without the schoolyard antics, name calling, finger pointing, stalking, and heaven help, threats of actual violence.

Well I seriously understand the severity in such a serious statement. I'm being serious too.

Ha, if it's before January, you'd best deny you'd ever spoken to ,or even heard of me.

Nothing serious happens here.
Huh? I usually agree with you. However I've read some pretty serious threats thrown out on here. I can't help but think it was serious. Maybe we need to get JD to moderate the Driver show.
(Disclaimer: I've never heard the Driver show so I'm not defending, or attacking it.)

Rep, I do agree with you. I was making a joke. (even if it wasn't a funny one.) My bad.

Why ? He doesn't fix anything, he tears things (and people) down.
Why? Hate, destruction, subterfuge is easier than love, building things up and positive support.
Man, he'd fit in here don't you think? LOL

I gotta be honest, I have no single clue what all this is about. However, if PAID ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE is a punishment, then I've been a bad boy and need to be punished. I'd think a month would teach me to act better.
Re: U.F.O.`s discussed nightly on WAIM-AM 1230-Why does Rick Driver air this trash?
November 14, 2008 by former-cop
Well I usually listen to John Boy and Billy. If I'm listening to the radio that time of morning I'm probably on the way home from work and fussing about this and that, or hearing how bad someone thinks everything is going is not what I'm in the mood for. Being a John Boy and Billy fan may say something about my intelligence level though. I guess I'm blissfully ignorant. I guess that beats the stressed out, "the ski is falling" chicken little, train of thought. I know it works for me anyway.

I gotta say, I've never listened to this station or Rick Driver, however I gotta see (or hear) what all the ado is about. It sure seems he is either loved or hated, and DOMINATES some folks thoughts. It seems as if the anti-Driver crowd is actually promoting his program.

I aint so much into the cigars, but ol Fidel sure has some purdy girls down that way. I'd probably take a grazer to the toe for Cuba.

"LETS INVADE VEN-EZ-UELA NEXT"
I vote Cuba. We could call it Bush's war for cigars. (Of course cigars was a Clinton thing wasn't it.)

Well I was going to try fishing off my dock but the only thing around my dock is squirrels. I'm having a heck of a time trying to get this acorn to stay on the hook.

Jd: I give JD and the Moderators my permission ( I know you don't need it) to delete my comments about Pappy's slandering, etc. about the country and its leaders. Apparently, I am preconditioned by Pappy's outburst to jump to a conclusion on what he's say'n now. Or, perhaps I'm just plain dumb
Rep, it takes a big person to fess up when they were wrong. I keep waiting for the day I'm wrong to see if I'll be big enough.

Well, we got three post before it started. Anyone else got a topic idea? Fishing didn't work.

"I'd share my last toothpick with PAPPY, Democrat or not, but I suspect he may balk at such generosity"
I'd be scared he'd get a splinter from the toothpick I gave him then hold me responsible to pay for all the medical bills as well as work missed, and then for the pain and suffering, and then whatever else goes wrong will somehow get traced back to the toothpick I gave him and it will be proven it was all a conspiracy to keep him down and out of work in the first place. Therefore forcing him to depend upon my handouts which would get passed on from generation to generation therefore...........(see, it would never end.)
Re: Oil Wars
November 11, 2008 by former-cop
Yeap JD, I saw Pappy's post the same way. Now I wouldn't give Pappy a toothpick if I owned a lumberyard, but I don't think he was smearing and slandering THIS time. I actually agree with what he said.

Well I hate to say it because I live on Hartwell, but I HEARD that for every foot Clarks Hill drops Hartwell will have to drop three feet. Check out http://www.striperboard.com/. It's a fishing forum where most of the fishermen fish Hartwell. They have some good info on lake levels, and often have the people that run the show at their meetings. It's notlooking good anytime soon from what how I'm understanding it.
PS, if you guys check it out, please don't post on there, or at the least act better than we do here. Those guy just want to talk fishing and believe it or not do a LOT of work to make our lakes better.
Re: Ads that make you stop and think

Free-love? That's an oxymoron. Anyway, I can talk the fishing. Just been too busy to chase the stripers. Also can't keep the boat in the water anymore. Maybe in a few weeks I'll finally be able to get back on the water. I hear the stripers calling for me.
