This country needs to be saved from the blind Obama supporters one at a time if needed. Not that I like Juan McCain, but Obama and him minions are just a lot more dangerous to our individual freedoms...

Isn't it ironic that the ACRP voted censure on MacKay - in effect denying his right to vote for the candidate he chooses ? So much for fairness. Political hypocrites!

Dumbbob,

This may come as a huge shock, but none of the incumbents that were voted out have any desire to work for the County after their terms are up.

Go get a bigger tinfoil hat - you're cutting off the circulation to your head.

No. It's not ironic. He can vote for whomever he wants. The party is there to spread the ideas of the republican party. For a great life long republican to sign the democrat rolls, donate money to only democrats, it is a little disingenuous.

therefore the party was correct in its assessment and Censure. Otherwise, the would not be doing their job.

Plumb, do you have any info to back up this rumor?

genocide, starvation, they will all die at the hand of the liberal left. So sad. Starvation into economic equilibrium....how unethical and reasonable. How unacceptable but if we (the US) doesn't want to explore other resourced then we are encouraging exactly that. How liberal do you all feel now?

Time for a roll call!

How many of you hit the D or R button every time you vote? I would assume that those are the most conservative and most liberal voters.

How many of you actually do research on each candidate and vote accordingly? I would assume that these would be the more moderate (and certainly informed voters)

There are of course those that do the research (informed voters) and still vote straight ticket while being informed. These are "faithful" Republicans and Democrats. (not Rinos or Dinos)

It is legal to not vote in a specific race that you do not approve of either candidate and still have the rest of your votes count. I checked this one out with the election commission this AM. How many of you knew that?

Petunia, I don't think I have ever voted straight R or D, I have even skipped voting for certain offices because I just didn't like either candidate. I think I have voted for a 3rd party candidate more often than for an R or a D.

I do not vote straight ticket.  I review the positions of the candidate and vote for the person who most closely represents my views and opinions (which of course means that is the definitely superior candidate!).

Now, of course, that ususally means the Republican.  But not always!  (Heresy to some, I know....)

Two discriminating women have checked in on my roll call. Where are the rest of you bloggers? I am developing a theory that we here on these forums may represent a valid compilation of voters. CALL CNN ! Should I cry Wolf? Laughing

Isn't it wonderful that we can now re call meaningless nonsense that only we think is important?

Sorry Mrs P I have been in the midst of a crisis, I think I have voted straight ticket once in my life, and that was after reviewing the ballot. It really was just a coincidence that time that all my candidates had the same letter after their names. Of course that doesn't include primaries where you have to chose one or the other, a practice I am really not fond of.

Petunia,

I want to be referred to as discriminating also ( after all, I haven't met a female blogger I didn't like ).

I have voted the big D for national office candidates all my life except for Ike's first term, which I have always regretted when I realized how he stabbed Marshall in the back.

As for State and local, I vote for whom I consider the best candidate, and when we moved to SC it usually is who is the best Republican--unfortunately.

I'm with blogger on this one. I generally choose the Democrat, but I have at times had no problem voting for the gentleman or gentlewoman who seems most qualified regardless of the letter next to their names.

It's funny I actually voted for Ronald Regan a long time ago. I know what you're thinking. I'm only 27. My dad took me as a small child and held me while I pulled the lever. He made me go with him everytime he voted until I was 18. Of course he also kept a huge collection of every rock and seashell that I picked up to carry around and logged them in with the day and location. I still have it displayed in my living room. He was an interesting dad.

Uh, excuse me, guys. I didn't know Democrats were ALLOWED to discriminate? Surprised

Virginia, I used to collect seashells, too. And gemstones from Franklin, N.C. But I most enjoyed collecting sharks teeth from all over the state of Florida, from those huge prehistoric ones in Jacksonville to the little ones off the Gulf Coast of south Florida. My favorite ones, though, are the three I dug out of my ex-wife's leg while we were on vacation in Panama City. If she had been more appetizing, I wouldn't have lost my house later on. Smile
